What is your style of photography?

My photography tends to be a blend of photojournalism and portraiture. I love bright, joyful and dreamy artistic images that speak to the hearts and personalities of my clients. A personal connection to my clients is key. It allows me to capture real and meaningful images for them that speak to their relationships and lifestyles.  I strive for real connection and movement in imagery.  Warning – I am not a posey-posey photographer. If lots of posing is what you are looking for, then you might need someone else. I do offer guidance along the way but the end result is to capture YOU as real as possible.


What is your pricing?

I love a person that gets right to the point! However, Julie Anne Photography pricing is not a one stop shop with all things being cookie-cutter. I offer personalized photography services to clients who want the best experience and artistic images possible.  There are many factors that make up our rates such as:  type of coverage, print and product selection, album design, the number of assistants/photographers needed, and any travel fees.   Send me a note and let me know what kind of coverage you are looking for – I will get you detailed pricing right away.


Where are you located? How far will you travel?

Julie Anne Photography is located in the Greater Atlanta Area with a consultation studio in Buckhead.  Not from Atlanta? No problem. I have been fortunate to travel with clients to dreamy destinations such as Playa Del Carmen, Napa Valley, Ireland and Germany.   I am passport ready and fluent in German and Spanish. I will go wherever your heart desires!


What kind of equipment do you use? Do you have backup equipment?

I photograph with top of the line Nikon professional gear and have an array of off camera lighting gadgets. Because technology can be unreliable, my backups have backups so that you don’t have to worry. (That and I can’t seem to stop buying it – I have a camera addiction)


Do you have insurance?

Absolutely! Yes.  I carry liability and equipment insurance to protect my business and my clients.


Can we cancel? Or maybe reschedule?

Photography deposits and session fees are non-refundable.  Depending on the circumstances of your emergency, we might can reschedule if the new date you desire is available. Change fees may apply.


Are there certain images I can request?

Yes! I live to curate images for my clients that help their visions come to life. All my clients will have a pre-shoot day questionnaire so we can outline goals and must have photos – this goes for weddings, seniors, portrait and branding sessions. Vision boards on Pinterest are a great way for us to look at images that are speaking to you.  HOWEVER, I do NOT recreate images. Recreating images are almost impossible because the lighting and background are always different…and why do you want something EXACTLY like someone else? Instead, I use vision boards and shot lists as inspiration to help me capture artistic images that reflect your style and personality.


How quickly will my images be available?

All portrait sessions and branding clients will have an in-person viewing party about two weeks after their session so we can look through the images together and pick favorites. If you are not local, we will do an online viewing session together.

Wedding clients receive a slideshow about two weeks after the wedding. Their full online gallery of images will be available for viewing 6 weeks after the wedding.


Do you recommend professional hair & makeup?

YES! Ladies – trust me on this one – you are worth spending the money to make yourself look and feel the best possible.  Plus, professional makeup artists know what makeup does and does NOT work on camera.  Anything with sunscreen, shimmer, highlighter or mineral powder will not do your skin justice in images.  Brushworx, Vigilante Cosmetics, The Moore Agency and Scoobie West are just a few companies that will conveniently come to you and help you put your best face forward.


I love what I see, what are our next steps?

Our next steps would be a coffee or phone date. Let’s make sure we are the right fit for each other. Once we are ready to move forward, you will be emailed a contract and invoice. Once the contract is signed and deposit is paid, I am all yours and your date will be reserved.  We will start talking through the logistics and vision for your shoot. I am available 100% of the time along the way if you have questions regarding locations, vendors, suppliers, clothing or if you just want to vent. (Wine may be needed for the venting part!)
