Will & Katie | Atlanta Botanical Garden Proposal

This Atlanta Botanical Garden Proposal helps me check another item of my photography bucket-list! Still swooning over these two!!! A few weeks ago, I got a call from Will’s mom Rhonda asking if I was available to partake in a surprise.  Will was planning on popping the question and he wanted to make sure it was a grand experience Katie could never forget. So in steps me- to document it!! We did a walk through at the Atlanta Botanical Garden to pick a spot for the proposal. After scouting the grounds, he decided that the Cascades Garden was the location he loved.

Brent and I arrived that Sunday at 10:45am and waited. Brent was a decoy so my jumbo camera and lens weren’t a giveaway. As it got closer and closer to their impending arrival – a gardener appeared and started cleaning the water goddess statue. I panicked a little. I sent Brent down to run interference and get her out of my shot… nothing was going to mess this up!!! We got her out of the way just as I spotted the two rounding the corner and making their way onto the bridge. They meandered down to the water fixture. The morning crowds were thick and I was worried he wouldn’t get a private moment. But as they stepped in front of the statue, an open opportunity to ask arrived. I watched as Will pulled the ring from his pocket and when down on one knee. It was so sweet!!! After a few minute, I joined them down by the Cascades Garden to take a few more pictures. We spent a few minutes walking around the garden and taking advantage of the beautiful grounds. We said our goodbyes and I headed over to surprise #2!!! Will had arranged a brunch with their immediate families at 10th & Piedmont to celebrate their engagement! It was such a pleasure getting to watch as everyone celebrated the good news and Katie showed off her new diamond ring.  Best wishes to Katie & Will!!!

The pictures are amazing but you have to see them in slideshow format to feel like you were there!
